Hmm, this photo does look a little too plain, the only thing that makes it 'move' is the wave at the side. Maybe if you tried some adding some lens effects such as adjust shutter-speed to get motion blurs or take it at a different angle? The water is also quite dull and the man's pose isn't very interesting and doesn't look as if he's 'escaping' from the wave. There should be plenty of photography tutorials here on DA to help you.
